Goodbye ss-editor
Hey everyone,
I'm shutting down ss-editor. Don't worry — the repository will stay live forever so you can still fork it, clone it, or tweak it for your own use case.
Why I'm shutting it down
Not really a big dramatic reason. I thought it would be a great tool, but honestly… it's just a piece of shit.
The rendering has some really big issues. You'd tweak the background, play with a few styles, download the final result, and realize it's complete trash. That feeling? Worse than Monday.
I also tried to build the whole thing without touching any big libraries. I know I have a problem — I can't stand seeing just a few lines of code need a 200MB module just to print "hello world."
Maybe I'm just a big stupid guy. Either way, it's time to let it go.
What's next
Instead of trying to fix something that never felt right, I'm putting that energy into something that actually solves my own daily pain — and hopefully yours too.
Keep an eye out for the next post. Something much more useful is coming.
K, bye. 🚀
